HV Energy & Civils are the specialist civil engineering sector of the We Hire group based in Newport, South Wales with our own fleet of specialist plant & equipment.

We supply a large and diverse customer base within the renewables & energy industry throughout the United Kingdom as far north as the Shetland Islands and as far south as Cornwall.

Our company covers all aspects of Civil Engineering, EHV Cabling and other works associated works with substation construction, battery storage sites, solar farms and cross-country or highway cable routes.

Our business specialises in cable duct/utility installation, cut and fill excavations, haul road installation & removal, soil stripping, management and reinstatement of cable easements, concrete foundation works, duct proving and cable installation up to 400 kV.

HV Energy & Civils have a specialist management & delivery team who drive our projects forward to the highest possible standards of health & safety, environmental, quality and sustainability standards in accordance with our bespoke integrated management system & ISO Accreditations.

HV Energy are passionate about delivering all aspects of our business in a safe manor. All operations are over seen by specialist safety advisors. All our practices adhere to all the current Health and Safety Executive guidelines relating to the construction industry.

We ensure each employee is trained and certified to the highest standard before they represent, We Hire on a live site. All plant and equipment are regularly checked and certified.

We have heavily invested in improving the safety and productivity of our plant with safe load indicators, check valves and quick hitches on all our excavators.

Therefore, we understand that its important to be aware and educated in methods to lower our carbon footprint. We ensure that we adhere to all environmental management plans implemented on our live sites. We ensure all waste in managed correct and recycled when possible. We try to reduce traveling and promote a car share scheme for the office staff.
